The SWAMP Venue

SWAMP in Bristol takes place every second Sunday of the month in a city centre nightclub called OMG. It is situated in Frog Lane, Bristol, BS1 5UX, which can be found towards the lower end of Park Street in the vicinity of the Council offices. Directions can be found here.

The club has a small amount of steps to enter the building so cannot claim to be disabled friendly. That said, we always do our utmost for anyone who needs help with mobility. Entry is priced at £3 for the market and bi-monthly demos (1pm until 6pm), and £10 for the rope workshop, and evening party (7pm until 11pm). Buying a party ticket includes free access to the market and any demo being held during the day. SWAMP does not close between the day and evening sessions so once you have a ticket you are free to come and go as you please – this can be very handy if you are planning on spending a full day with us, as the venue is very well situated for a rich variety of restaurants and takeaways. The club has a fully stocked bar which is open for the duration of SWAMP from 1pm until 11pm and also serves tea and coffee.  Payment is by cash only for entry, with cash or cards accepted at the bar. If you need a cash machine there are a number of these just 2 minutes walk away.

We have a cloakroom available to safely store your bags and coats at a cost of £1 per item i.e. £1 for a bag, £1 for a coat, £1 for an umbrella etc. The cloakroom is manned constantly, and once you have your ticket you are free to put items in & take items out throughout the event. There are changing facilities available for those who prefer to arrive in their regular clothes, and should you be concerned about discreetness; the main entrance to SWAMP is set back slightly from the main road. Being in the city centre means there are plenty of hotels nearby to suit all budgets for those travelling from further afield. We have gathered a list of the main ones here.

We have two separate dungeon areas, one public and one private, both containing a number of quality pieces of furniture for your use. Both are constantly manned by SWAMP Dungeon Monitors to ensure everyone’s safety and we have a strict code of conduct for these areas which we would like all attendees to read. They can be found here.

Whilst we ask that you keep physical play to the dungeon areas, scening and role play are perfectly acceptable anywhere in the club. There are plenty of seating and stylish chill out areas should you prefer to socialise and relax and we can’t think of a better place to spend a Sunday with the regions finest kinksters.
